About Jamestown
Welcome to Jamestown Elementary, where we believe every child deserves to feel known, challenged, supported, and proud to belong.
Located in Florissant, Missouri, within the central corridor of the Hazelwood School District, Jamestown serves students and families from Black Jack, Florissant, and surrounding areas of St. Louis County. Our school community includes students from Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade, each bringing unique strengths, experiences, cultures, and possibilities to our classrooms.
At Jamestown, learning is about more than academics. We intentionally create a school where high expectations, creative thinking, strong relationships, student voice, and social and emotional growth work together. Our teachers, staff, students, and families share responsibility for helping every Jayhawk grow academically and personally.
We are especially proud to be a thematic school with a global and biliteracy focus. Through language, culture, authentic learning experiences, and meaningful connections beyond the classroom, we are preparing students to understand their world and confidently participate in it.
Our vision reaches far beyond elementary school. We want our Jayhawks to leave Jamestown with strong academic foundations, curiosity, confidence, compassion, and a growing ability to communicate across languages and cultures. Ultimately, our goal is for students to graduate from high school as biliterate global citizens prepared to make a positive impact on the world.
At Jamestown, we do this work together.
One Team. One Mission. Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day.
