The philosophy of librarianship is centered on providing access to information and supporting learning and knowledge development. Some key principles of librarianship include: Intellectual freedom and privacy. We encourage a welcoming atmosphere where students want to know they can ask them anything and that they know how to get answers or explain why there isn't one.
About Me
Hi, my name is Mrs. Evers-Gomilla and I’m excited to be at Jamestown this year in the Librarian position. I have taught with SSD and Jamestown in the prior year. Here is a little about myself. I was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. I attended St Louis County Schools. I will also be coaching our cheerleading team. I hope our scholars and parents had an awesome summer break and start of the year. It will be a FUN year full of reading and learning. I love to help children explore their minds. I have been married for 12 years and also have four children. I have two children who graduated from Hazelwood School District and two children who are currently attending school in the district. I have firsthand knowledge of teaching and being a parent in Hazelwood schools. I love the community and team environment and I look forward to meeting you.
